Storyline

This short film was made to accompany a six-song album with the same title, written and performed by Garrett Duncan. The film also features tracks from the album. The Darkened Movie follows a musician struggling with his faith, career and marriage. After receiving news that his label is about to drop him, he goes to great lengths and embarks on a dangerous journey to save the things he holds dear. Traveling between reality and "The Darkened," he meets the embodiment of "Fear": A white-masked figure wielding a knife and card deck. Events unfold, leading him to begin a process of self-discovery.—Garrett and Ashton Duncan

It was won FIVE AWARDS!!

First, I was grateful to have been asked to be a part of the production. I play a counselor in a 12-step program (not much of a step as I have done this!).

Second, it was a fun shot!

Third, Garrett and Jared did a great job. It reminds me of how music videos used to be made in the early days of MTV when there were sympathetic images to help suggest or highlight the storyline or conflict in a song.

Fourth, it's won FIVE AWARDS!! And I'm grateful to have been part of a MULTI-AWARD WINNING VIDEO!!
